Christmasy Leavenworth 2013

My self-challenge: take photos to be be entirely edited in black and white (with good looking results).
I haven't done much black and white, so I often don't know what exactly will end up great without color.

Anyways I definetly took more "black and white photos" than I usually do, but still had multiple that simply didn't really out well without color. So here is my largely black and white leavenworth trip!

To Ellensburg, to Peshastin

'Twas the beginning of November when my friend Jerald and I set out and rolled across a few highways and visited some dear friends and old leaders of ours. We had a good time :)

These photos are not a thorough documentary of the occurrences, just the visual highlights of the trip :)

First big mountain view!

So, at some point while on I-90, we stopped to look at some mountainy stuff

We found a river and looked at it. Then Jerald found a rock and made it his goal to get to a large rock near the middle.

Remember, this is a mountain river in late fall -I was wearing a coat and scarf.

We hiked "the ridge" about 2 miles to the top and about 2000ft elevation gain.
It was crazy and awesome.

We decided to take the extra steep extreme mountain biking trail for our way down

Just a little over 1 mile back down Jerald realised he didn't have his key any more... we went most the way back up the mountain.

On our way to Peshastin!

In Peshastin!

We checked out a sweet road just outside Cashmere

And then we went back home
