If you're around the Seattle-Tacoma area, you probably saw at least some frost this morning. Beautiful stuff it is -just doesn't last too long when it is too close to the sunlight.

Emmaline Joy
Emma is my niece. She's smiley and fun, and now she is one year old!
Hugging the little horsey
Two-fingering it
Piano session :)
And she sees the stairs!
All the way up, she made it! :D
Cutting Metal
There was once an unused lamp. This lamp sat in my closet for many months, ever holding the hope that someday it would be pulled out and have it's socket used once again. Today I pulled out this lamp and decided to put its socket, and just its socket, back to use. I removed the clamp it had for a base and as many nuts that could be unscrewed I did so, but that action resulted in nothing but a heavily ornamented cord -which is most undesirable. Showing the predicament to my dad he said, "I have just the tool."
Pretty soon, washers, nuts, and cuffs were broken free from the long cord. I was then able to hang the socket from my ceiling for some enjoyable lighting ...and "Lampy" has electricity flowing through its lines once again!
Defective Plants
Centon 64 gig flash drive -not the best. After using it for maybe a week or two, bam. Locked without a switch; no read/write capabilities. I looked up some reviews online and found that this is VERY common for this model. Now, no one I know, or I, bought this (it was found by a family member and given to our household), so no loss. :)
Anyways, what do you do when an electronic device goes bad?
Take it apart, of course!
And the photo for the ninth is simply some plants drying on some green yarn after their bouquet started going wilted and brown.

Salt Water State Park
I've been going to Highline Community College for a while now, and have several time driven past the entrance to Salt Water State Park. Many times I have wanted to know what it was like. Today after picking up my little sister, Emilie, at Highline, I decided we'd finally see what was there.
It's pretty much a smaller, not quite as nice Dash Point State Park. Not bad, has a few pretty trails, but not worth the $10 day pass for parking (which we dodged with our short visit).
The Different Light
I think it so interesting how different a place can appear in certain lighting. The picture below is my family's dinner table lit primarily by the dim night clouds (which are lit by the city) shining through the room windows. The different light gives such a different feel -not just in photographs, but in reality.
